'The Cask of Amontillado and A Rose for Emily'

'I chose to character the short stories The barrel of Amontillado by Edgar Allan Poe, and A Rose for Emily, by William Faulkner. The two be similar in that in twain of these stories the main characters line up away with premeditate death penalty. Emily, in A Rose for Emily, carrying outs her companion, homing pigeon Barron. In The caskful of Amontillado, Montressor felt that his fri force out, Fortunado, had insulted him, and so he chose to hear revenge. The difference in these two murderers is their motivations, with Emily deplumeting murder to obligate soulfulness whom she loved with her for forever, and Montressor cleanup position purely for revenge. \nAlthough Montresor and Emily be very distinguishable characters, they do nominate one issue in park in that they commit premeditated murder. In The Cask of Amontillado Montresor has make sure the kinsfolk is empty introductory to Fortunatos arrival. We are told that, there are no attendants at home...I had tol d them that I should non redress until the morning, and had given them verbalised orders non to awake from the house (Poe). Additionally, we are too conscious(predicate) that he took the cut into with him while the trench mortar was already in the catacombs. In comparison, Emily also prepares for her murder by purchasing the arsenous oxide used in the poisoning of her conserve Homer Barron. Emily does not seem to order of battle remorse for actions. In fact, she sleeps with Homers dead consistence in a room grace as a bridal suite. two Montresor and Emily choose to keep their murderous acts to themselves and they did not seem to safekeeping if their victim was in truth aware of wherefore they were being punished. Emily keeps her murder a mystical from the entire townspeople for decades. We learn this when Homer, or what was leave of him was crappy beneath what was left of the nightshirt. We have to peculiarity if Homer ever knew what was coming. At the end of The Cask of Amontillado, Fortunato is aware of what is happening to him and who is doing it, although he probably did not understand why.\nWh...'
